Izmir Ataturk Museum Located in Ataturk Street, 1. Kordon themuseumwas built by carpet merchant Takfor Efendi as a house in 1875-1880, It wasnationalized after abandoned by its owner on 9 September 1922, After entering Izmir, the Turkish Army used the building as its headquarters.
The museum is constituted of a basement, The ground floor is paved by large marble tiles and the hall is covered by a 34.5 square metres carpet from Usak., first floor and roof. On the first floor there are rooms which were used by Atatürk; a conference hall, dining room and bathroom library, study hall, bedroom, guest room, hair- dressing room, waiting room, guard room.
